Piano lessons for children

Playing the piano develops a wide range of skills and supports growth throughout childhood and adolescence—and most importantly, it's fun! Typically, the ideal age to start piano lessons is around 5-6 years old. Pauliina, the teacher, specializes in early childhood music education.

At Huvina's piano lessons, we explore music in a holistic way. Besides playing, we sing, play games, and sometimes even dance. We learn to read sheet music, play by ear, and create our own music. The goal is to develop well-rounded musical skills and encourage creative expression, with each student progressing at their own pace.

In addition to individual lessons, Huvina's piano students also participate in group lessons approximately 3-4 times per semester.  Students have the opportunity to perform in a concert at least once per semester.

Piano lessons for youth and adults

Have you dreamed of playing the piano but aren't sure where to begin? Or would you like to learn how to accompany your favorite songs on the piano? Perhaps you played the piano in your youth and now feels like the right time to refresh your skills. It's never too late to learn something new or to start playing again!

In youth and adult piano lessons, we progress based on each student's wishes and needs. Lessons combine a variety of exercises and focus on practicing the student's favorite pieces and musical genres. Alongside playing, we develop a range of musical skills, including musical perception, theory, and ear training. Each lesson is customized to match the student's interests.

Huvina's piano lessons are perfect for beginners and intermediate students who want to learn free accompaniment.
